Church Life Ministries at SJV

Curé of Ars Guild - St. John Vianney was ordained a priest in 1815 and three years later he was made parish priest of Ars, a remote French hamlet, where his reputation as a confessor and director of souls made him known throughout the Christian world. He was universally known as the "Curé of Ars."The Cure' of Ars membership at St. John Vianney Parish is made up of all the women of the parish whether or not they belong to a circle or not.

The Curé of Ars Board - Coordinates the activities of the following women's circles at SJV, providing service and social activities for the parish community. They host one social event a year for all women of the parish.

St. Ann's Circle - Projects are church receptions and a fundraiser to be determined. They meet on the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 6:30pm at local restaurants. 

St. Anthony's Circle - Projects are the Ladies Fall Luncheon, donations to the Teenage Pregnancy Program and Christmas to the needy. Meets the 2nd Thursday of the month at 9:30am in the Vianney Room.

St. Margaret's Circle - Projects are the annual sale of Turkey Salad and various outreach ministries. They meet on the 3rd Tuesday of the month at noon at a local restaurant.

St. Monica's Circle - Projects are Christmas gifts for residents of Bettendorf Health Care Center, the Senior Brunch and the Valentine bake sale. Meets the 3rd Thursday of the month at 7:00pm in members' homes.

Men's Fellowship Promotes fellowship and positive social opportunities for the adult men of our Parish in a faith-filled environment. Key activities include coordinating of the annual Parish Picnic. All parish men twenty-one years of age and older are invited to participate! They meet on the 1st Thursday of the month at 7:00pm in the Parish Activity Center.

Prayer Chain (E-Mail & Mail) Provides a network of prayer for those requesting prayerful support.

Stewardship Commission Coordinates activities that help our parish, through the sharing of our time, talent and treasure to build up the Church and live out a Christ-centered life, making stewardship a way of life for SJV.
